Privacy Policy

This page explains what The Cravings Note collects and why. It is written plainly because a privacy policy nobody reads protects nobody.

What we collect

• Advertising click data. When you arrive from an ad we record the referring platform, campaign, ad and placement identifiers supplied by that platform, the click identifier it appends to the URL, your IP address, browser user agent, approximate country, device type, and which version of a page you were shown.
• One cookie. A single first-party cookie named cid containing a random identifier, so a click can be matched to a later action. It expires after 30 days. We set no other cookies and run no third-party analytics or trackers on this site.

Why we collect it

To measure whether our advertising works. If you follow a link to an advertiser and buy something, the advertiser tells us a sale happened and passes back the random identifier so we can attribute it. That is the whole purpose.

Who we share it with

The advertising platform that sent you, so it can measure the same thing, and the affiliate network that handles the merchant relationship. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone else.

What we never collect here

We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or payment details on this site. If you provide those to an advertiser after leaving, their privacy policy governs that, not ours.

Your choices

You can clear the cid cookie in your browser at any time, which stops attribution. Depending on where you live you may have the right to request access to or deletion of data associated with you. Email the address below and we will action it.
